Anzalta OS.A Desktop That Lives in Your Browser
A Web OS Concept: Windows, Apps, and Play — All Rendered in the Browser
Anzalta OS is a personal playground — a full desktop environment concept running entirely in the browser, built with TypeScript, Canvas, and WebGL. It has draggable, resizable windows with real z-order management, a dock with magnification, a boot sequence, wallpapers, and a growing collection of mini apps: a file explorer, a music player, a terminal, even a tiny drawing tool.
Under the hood it is an exercise in systems thinking on the front end. A window manager tracks focus, stacking, and snap zones; an event bus lets apps talk to each other without coupling; state persists to IndexedDB so the desktop comes back exactly as you left it. None of it uses a framework for the windowing itself — raw pointer math and requestAnimationFrame keep dragging pixel-perfect.
It exists to push what browser UI can feel like: playful, fast, and a little nostalgic. Most of what I know about performance budgets, paint scheduling, and input latency came from debugging this project at 2am — lessons that quietly made every client project after it better.
